No, I have never opened that app on this phone, and it's used 225 MB of foreground data since September 1, a period of time that I have been consciously not using my phone more than necessary and have been fastidiously keeping my wifi on as often as possible.

Again, on an app that I DO NOT EVER OPEN.

So last cell phone pay period something happened that spiked my phone's data usage through the roof. Originally I thought it had been a game I played, and so I started using a data monitor to keep track of my apps and data usage.

While the game DID use more data than I would have liked, after a few days and a walk outside wifi range, I saw that it was outclassed in data usage. By my system apps. Very specifically, Google Chrome.

Okay so am I the only one who thinks the way Twitter handled video has been absolutely trash for ages? At least directly on their website, the way it works (at least by default, in my experience) is that as you scroll, the video will autoplay...with no sound. And then if you click on the video, it unmutes the video at the point it played up to, so you ALWAYS miss the first few seconds of audio unless you scrub backwards.

I mean this is just...bad, right?

Problem. Etro also decides to imbue the first human with some of her power of prophecy. The thing is that humans are kinda fragile, and can't actually handle utilizing godlike abilities at that scale. So, every time this human, the Seer, uses her power, she pretty drastically shortens her lifespan.

Oh. And also, it's automatic, she has no way to turn it off or control when it happens.

This can *only* go well. (8)

But when they die, they go to Valhalla, the medium between the two worlds, where Etro is. She is absolutely charmed by her little doppelganger and, having been given the power and the task to manage the consuming chaos caused by Bhunivelze messing with everything by Mwynn, she takes a little piece of that chaos, places it in the human soul, and sends it back to be reborn. But! Now Pulse and Lindzei are two scene gods with a dead sister, and it makes them sad. They find the remains of Etro and in their grief take her body and create new life from it. Specifically humans. And more specifically, one human that looks like Etro. Which is a totally normal thing to do. (6)

Now we've got Pulse trying to find a door to the Unseen World with no idea how, because, again spoilers: That's not a thing. So, his tactic for doing this is to basically delegate, creating more, lesser fal'Cie to do this task. And how do they do this task?

They look. Like, they are on a planet and they start...physically looking for an actual literal door to the afterlife. Digging around. Rolling through caves. Soaring in the sky. (5)

So Pulse and Lindzei are messing around, throwing stuff at a wall, making other big monsters to help them do their thing. Meanwhile Etro is...

Which means she goes to the medium between the Mortal World and the Unseen world. And finds God's mom. Who immediately dies and tasks Etro with protecting the world balance.

So now there's one sleeping god and two other demigods on an impossible quest that is ALSO futile. (4)

Then he creates Etro to protect him, but he accidentally (!) made her look like his mother, so he just gives her no powers and makes Lindzei in her place. Then, still paranoid over nothing, he just freezes himself into a crystal and goes to sleep until they figure this whole thing out.

...Basically, they are all computers given impossible tasks and absolutely no guidance.

The first chronological thing that we know happens in the FF13 universe is that capital-G God, Bhunivelze, kills his mother, sending her to the 'Unseen World' (the realm of the dead) and then promptly becomes paranoid for no reason that she put a curse on the universe that would result in its eventual destruction. But now that she's in the Unseen World, he can't get to her because he'd lose power in the Mortal world.
