Bezos has gone too far for us. He is stifling opinions he doesn't like from even being mentioned in the Washington Post. We have canceled our Prime and KU subscriptions. I gather we are not alone, either. Cutting back Audible to one title each month because we don't want to lose access to hundreds of titles we have already purchased.

They asked why I was canceling Kindle Unlimited, but their multiple choice answers didn't include "because your owner is a jerk" so I had to settle for "Other."

Joann Fabrics going away? That's a rumor that has circulated for at least two years, but the stores are still open. Latest story circulating says their chapter 11 filing failed and they are being bought out by a liquidator. If so, this is terrible news for some of us who like to sew, knit, crochet, and engage in other creative activities. In much of the US, Joann is the sole remaining resource for retail fabric, yarn, and supplies. It is not clear what can replace them.

Tracked the sound to the gap between the barn door and the outside wall. Here's what we found: two bats parked in there. Didn't want to risk hurting them, as we can use all the help we can get with night flying insects. They were gone this morning.
