Ugh, what a day. Someone left a tap on overnight and our #depot flooded. It's a Friday so many of our facilities and lab technical staff aren't in. I am nursing a cold so was planning to work from home, but, fortunately in retrospect, had one meeting I had to do in person. We moved the affected materials out of the way and arranged for a company to dry out the room, but I'm very ready for the weekend.

I was reflecting on the toot about sleep, and was reminded of all I learned in my undergraduate course called "Introduction to Sleep", taught by Mary Carskadon. #Sleep is amazing, it is strange, it is still somewhat unexplained, and we mess with it at our own (great) risk. It's a good reminder right now as I am taking on more admin roles at the uni, that I cannot comprise on sleep, or everything else will suffer.

Hi y'all, I'm a #paleoanthropologist trained in four-fields #anthropology in the US, now an assoc prof in #archaeology at #Leiden university. I use a #behavioralecology approach to study how #plants may have shaped #human #evolution, and various biological, ecological and cultural drivers of #foodbehaviors.
