26.9.2024 14:21Rainbow trying to hold back the grey over London. #London #UK #rainbowIf you are in the UK please consider signing and/or sharing this petition here and elsewhere to give a strong message to the government that we are not happy with what they are doing to our country.
It's over 100k, which is enough for it to be considered for debate, but the higher it goes the stronger the message.

Yay! The ULEZ expansion has started. We need to do more but this is a good start.
The mayor has extended the zone to cover all of greater London and that's as far as he can go.
Home counties should stop complaining and help clean up the air we all breathe by doing something similar to ULEZ.
My home was included in the last expansion in 2021. We've never had a car but my husband had to get rid of a scooter that wasn't compliant.

Love the skies seen from our upstairs windows. There was distant rumbling as well but it's just raining now. #london

You can see it if you click on my profile. Brb I'm just going to do a lap of honour around my house. Anyone else on Threads?
(Not sure if there is any benefit to this except a sense of achievement.)

A moody view of Dundee Law from the window of the flat we stayed in with the monument on top calling to us. Of course we had to climb up to it! (More photos in thread.)

Just me telling my daughter that we'll soon be at the top of Dundee Law. It was in fact about another 20 minutes of steep climbing before we got there.
The view was worth it.

We just got back from seeing the new Indiana Jones movie at our local cinema. The Barbie fans had eaten all the popcorn before we got there 😱
(Good movie though and a good time to see it. Luckily they still had crisps for us.) #barbie #movies

I wouldn't have known how good DuckDuckGo was without Mastodon. I'd heard of it but didn't know the benefits and that it's so much better than Google for research. Can't remember who was talking about DuckDuckGo on here but thank you! #duckduckgo #thanksmastodon #mastodon

14.7.2023 10:24Rainy London. #Fensterfreitag #WindowFriday #rain #londonWe had to dig up our garden about 18 months ago to fix the drains and lost most of our plants. Since then, along with planting lavenders and ferns, we have allowed wildflowers to grow. Maybe that's why we're starting to get visitors like this Silver Y moth (identified by Google Lens). I had no idea that moths migrate to the UK from the continent! #moth #wildlife #london #uk

Tiny birds, probably sparrows, love bathing in it which is probably why the reeds are looking a bit beaten up (I'm willing to sacrifice the reeds if the birds are happy). #wildlife #pond #london #uk

I find it hard to identify little brown birds (or any other birds tbf) but I think that's a sparrow?
