As I am under cooldown, I can't migrate yet.

I am not sure which instance I'll move to once the 21 days of cooldown I have left are passed. I currently use three Mastodon accounts. Eventually, I'll pick one that works for me the most and is also better in general

The situation with RHEL right now is pretty weird and complicated.
But here's my understanding of it:
1. RHEL is the most stable version. CentOS Stream is the upstream version, Fedora is more on the bleeding edge.
2. Fedora and COSS both retain their open source status. RHEL? Not anymore.
3. Alma and Rocky are screwed, and will either need to rebase on COSS (upstream of RHEL) or do some weird rebasing to Debian or something else. This will affect a lot of servers using free forks of RHEL.

I've been using the new DuckDuckGo browser (now available for Windows) and here's my opinion:
1. It is proprietary, but it uses WebKit which is open source
2. It delivers a minimal, but satisfying experience, which I think some people would like
3. Can't change default search engine, which is a shame
4. Loads pages rather fast
5. The fire button and the fireproofing feature make it a great incognito browser
6. If you want extensions and sync, this browser is not for you

#Project92, Meta's plan of building a Twitter alternative presumably using Mastodon, is troublesome. As much as Meta is embracing open source, at the end of it all, Meta wants our data - they're a data harvesting company that owns and operates Facebook and Instagram, among others. Seeing ads on Mastodon instances in the future is fine by me - but I don't want to see Facebook trackers embedded all over Mastodon, and I for sure don't want Meta to be the go-to company for anything Mastodon-related.

I'm so not used to fediverse, but I am learning it quickly. Twitter and Reddit have become almost entirely worthless. Facebook? No way....

I'm so not used to fediverse, but I am learning it quickly. Twitter and Reddit have become almost entirely worthless. Facebook? No way. Tumblr? Occasionally, but it won't be the only site I use. Fediverse has many users scattered over different sites all connected by a thread (or an address field, for that matter).
I want this fediverse experiment to be a success.

Hi Mastodon! I'm really excited to start using this site more but I need to find some of the people I know from Twitter and it's hard to do it. I'll have to do a lot of this manually.
All I want is to have an alternative, but I'll still be available on Twitter as well. I'm not leaving Twitter, I just want to have another outlet to voice my opinions and post my art on.
The app seems stable so far. Already followed a few artists, soon will follow more people!
