[4/5] ⏳ Capturing the damascus pattern was a sidequest on its own. I wanted to emboss it into the sword itself, so that it reduces painting complications, but turns out heavily detailed SVGs are not the favourite of Zbrush... ! Well worth the days of trouble getting booleans to work.

Both sword and swordbreaker bears a pair of lapis lazuli gems: a mineral worth more in value than gold in ancient Mesopotamia. In Buddhism, blue and black were symbolic colours of the void were it all came from and all will return into.

I planned out a complex and highly anatomically precise articulated figure of my story's protagonist, Haroeris (depicted below as Bēl - the crown and extra eyes make the difference!), but before I jumped into printing and engineering his joints, I wanted to prepare some neat colourised digital renders of the 3D model I worked so much on. Had a great time doing extensive research for the Hacker Hotel 2024 badge alongside preparing the PCB artwork for it. Our chosen theme, "19th century communication technology innovations" mainly focused on the telegraph. Two small brooches (one deco, one functional one) accompanied it.

Lanyard NOT actually dyed with copper-arsenic!

The gameplay is not 100% complete yet due to complications in development, but keep an eye out on @tilde_industries and @badgeteam for update announcements!

The HackerHotel2023 badge was a milestone in the way I plan and realise PCB art, and boy am I excited to introduce these same aesthetical tricks with the layers in future projects as well!
