Brand new laptop, not happy w/screen. Never had this before.

It looks like the display is not completely even. On a dark screen especially, you can see light bleeding through at all four corners and at various points along the bottom. It looks like the screen was forced into the chassis lid and someone ? pressed down too hard at those points.
Also at least 1 dead pixel.

Am I being too fussy?

Send it back for replacement? 🤷‍♀️

Is this just gamers-gone-mad nonsense, or have I been computing all wrong for the past 30yrs? Cos I’ve had plenty of laptops, they’ve all lasted 5-6yrs and still been working when I bought the next one, and I’ve never applied thermal paste in my life…

Can anyone recommend a good cross-platform ereader device? I like my Kindle, but I want to break free of Amz. Similarly no Nook, and unless someone can convince me otherwise, no Kobo.

I don’t want to be tied to any DRM platform; if I’m going to convert 1k+ books to a non-DRM ePub format, I want something I can store/read them on without 👀 being monitored by AI/algorithms.
