playing Mount & Blade WFaS with the Enhanced Unofficial mod, and there's a castle town called "Imha Etme" in there. I know that the mod misspells some other places, and mixes endo- & exonyms, but Googling that name turns up nothing.
So I wonder what the source is for "Imha Etme" as a place name.

But hey I got maybe another century to live to get even more disappointed.

They already have an example to look at, then compare if the facts of the next case match a scenario where it's "okay" or "good".
Facts can be real, made up or ignored in cases where it's inconvenient - a condition can be made to be met or not.
Their past example can be as stupidly defended as "they liked it", "it was just deportations & flight", "they started it", "it was never their home, but ours", ... you get the picture

Not only do you follow along the evolution of cinema techniques, but you also can sorta mix up the narrative style.
What I mean is with the OT Episodes 4 to 6 you can see the story like "this happens then that happens as consequence, then that, etc". When you get to the prequels it flips over into being analytical like "this was the consequence of that, and that happened so this became a thing".

I once wrote academically about the depiction of non-white people participating in WW1, or rather how they were and continue to be whitewashed out of history each step of the way, and I swear eventually I should get around to writing about this shit too cause it's just as annoying.

If you think about what actually happens on-screen it's kinda absurd.
There used to be arguments against having German world-war (WW2 specifically....) stories in games ranging from good to just flat out nazi shit from a different country's perspective. The risk of sending a wrong message about nazis is a valid risk - but looking back we've always been there already.
There's exterminationist rhetoric in Call of Duty games including my favourite one.

German stories in world war games (but also in general) have long been kind of a taboo topic in the past beyond the odd short trip especially when it comes to big industry players.
I enjoyed games centered in the world war period throughout a period of time wherein virtually every other gamer moved on to other stuff like the modern-warfare boom.
... Even if so fucking many games are nothing better than a US version of "Triumph of the Will" or whatever, over and over again.
