Autism assessment done, the psychologist said the assessment does ‘indicate an Autism diagnosis’ (the formal decision needs to be made to finalise this but she seemed pretty certain)

According to my parents, my great-grandparents (Strabane at this point, I think, but not 100%) were married following a possibly obscure tradition called ‘a compromising’

The gist of it is that for some reason they couldn’t marry so the mock sight of them heading out together overnight in plain sight was deliberately staged making marriage the only answer to such a scandal

The reasons ‘why now’ are complex but at the very least it gives extra confidence and removes even a trace of imposter syndrome when I have a need to set down a health boundary in some area of life
