A main interest of mine is to increase the diversity of aging research by examining the influence of sex and race on structural changes in #aging and #alzheimers research.

We found that vascular risk factors account for the majority of race differences in white matter hyperintensity burden. More research on diverse populations is needed to fully understand neurodegeneration changes in aging and cognitive decline.
