A lalb is an interstitial verse added to a song or poem between extant verses. It is related to a call and response, but is not a planned part of the original.

Examples of lalbs include Sweet Caroline ("Sweet Caroline.." "Ba ba ba!"), Rocky Horror Picture Show ("From the day he was born.." "Not the night, but the day!"), and the source of the word: Rudolph ("Had a very shiny nose" "Like a light bulb!")

It's always amusing when technology breaks positively.

My old Kindle Fire hasn't had a system update available in 4 years. It can no longer download Amazon apps. Email app can't connect to Gmail (but can Yahoo mail?) Can't play Candy Crush for crying out loud.

On the nice side, it still connects to Pandora to play music... but it can't seem to find the ad server. Which means my free account now has the ad-free experience of a subscription account.

Music at work is a level better now. Ahh .
