Stage 6 is causing a 4.5 hour black out in my neighbourhood in Cape Town. This concept used to be strictly theoretical, yet here we are. Having grid collapse conversations with my better half in the context of South Africa while also considering a ditch plan should he land bang in the centre of world war, is surreal. I don't hate this for the inconvenience of no power, I hate this for what it's doing to our economy (local and global), our sense of safety and our sanity. This is NOT okay.
