I have to say, I was a bit annoyed by mastodon at first, mostly because I came in with the mindset of using it promotionally. After some time, I’ve found as a social media space, I’m really enjoying it. Very interesting people and conversations. It’s quieter. I’m understanding the vibe and mechanics of it better. I just needed to chill out.

I’m not sure if it’s adhd, escapism, or hyper fixation, but my wife mentioned going to Washington DC for a specific reason, and one of ours kids said they want to go also. Tonight I’ve gone from saying - too much money, to running numbers, to building a budget, to expanding the trip to five days, to now spending several hours planning a ten day road trip. I don’t know how we’ll afford it but it’s stuck in my brain now, and I keep looking up and adding new stops.
