In your opinion, when would a mastodon post be too old to reply to? At what age would a post be too old to bother replying to, especially for a smaller, less-popular posts.

Of course you can always reply to any post at any time. But when a post is nearly one year old, it can feel off to necro the discussion when it's long done.

I have a bit of a #linux question. Should I switch to Opensuse Tumbleweed?

I'm currently using Kubuntu, and I've been wanting to try out more distro, but distro-hopping means reconfiguring everything which could take days, so I don't really want to do it on a whim.

What advantages and disadvantages would Opensuse Tumbleweed bring? Is it harder to use or less stable than Kubuntu?

Also, my hardware isn't that good. It's a potato laptop with 2gb un-upgradable ram and 10 year old intel celeron, so performance is a really big factor (but not a big enough factor for me to use puppylinux or xfce, as I enjoy my kde rice).

In this scenario, you would be the only one turned into an anthro, everyone else is still human. You also wouldn't receive the superpowers of your fursona if they had one, you'd just be an ordinary anthro.
