It shows how a single descending neuron in the Drosophila larval brain acts both as a developmentally-regulated command neuron and a neuromodulatory neuron for the same complex innate behavior, the glue expulsion and spreading behavior (GSB), which occurs a single time at a critical stage of fly development, pupariation.

May each of the perpetrators and especially their enablers be held accountable and be charged with the costs and efforts of reparations (of what can be repaired).

I wondered what’s the common denominator? Age? Chicago? Carl studied there for many years while Marc was born and studied there too? Or am I hearing things? 😅 https://youtu.be/232wtCuLsoI
