Amateur genealogist since 1975, now specializing in Germanic genealogy. Currently president, editor, and "de facto" librarian of the Immigrant Genealogical Society, of Burbank, California, USA. I enjoy exploring 23andMe and AncestryDNA matches, and studying the reasons one emigrates (emphasis on 19th c.).
