I wish Signal would release their app on F-Droid or just provide their own F-droid repo if they can't strip out the right parts.

I don't know how people seriously suggest it when you can only officially get it on Google Play Store.

There are Github releases but one would end up having to use an app like Obtanium to keep track and update.

Otherwise I just use the Molly fork but it's not quite the same.
