- TBH, I've changed more ints and vars to longs and managed containers to native ones than I can care to count at this point... And please don't take that as a challenge to use even more memory 🫣

If you, let's say, had a hypothetical cloud app running the latest #Java VM, and that app were to process a bazillion events in a processing queue, the default multi-threaded, generational GCs it comes with might not be the smartest choice.

That is unless you could somehow get the generational behavior to inverse the sign on the generation count. Maybe.

Gestern (Dienstag) um 12 war die am Montag verlängert und ursprüngliche auf Montag 16:30 angesetzte Frist der deutschen Botschaft in Kopenhagen abgelaufen um die Wahlbriefe dort zur gesammelten Kurier Sendung abzugeben.

Jetzt dürfte ich wählen zwischen 50€ #DHL Express Brief, rüber fliegen und B-day WE ruinieren, oder nem fremden vertrauen 🤷

Kenn ich, das Problem mit der Briefwahl bei der #Bundestagswahl2025. Ab dem ersten Januar hab ich jeden Tag auf die Webseite des Wahlkreises unseres letzten Wohnsitzes in Deutschland gecheckt. Der Tag an dem dort nicht mehr die wiederholte Wahl sondern die jetzt anstehende angekündigt wurde und die Unterlagen zum beantragen ins Wählerverzeichnis online waren, war der Tag an dem ich diese:
- digital ausfüllte
- ausdruckte
- unterschrieb
- einscannte
- E-mailte

It's these kinda idiots that are the main reason I hang on to the label of "man" even if I'm largely apathetic to my gender, but just to spite them and say: you can use whatever pronouns you feel like. If you think it insults me, you're wrong. You can try to demean my masculinity by coloring me as feminine, like that's a bad thing, and I'll just laugh in your face. I'll still call myself a man, if only because I know it triggers you to no end.

Well, it's been a journey but it looks like I actually managed to setup @ff3 on my Pi over the break as my new budgeting solution. Using docker, a reverse proxy for TLS, and GoCardless for automatic imports.

That means that, I don't actually need to write any code to integrate my main bank accounts AND could integrate one bank that doesn't offer end-user API access (which didn't seem to concern the bank or the danish data protection officer as a violation of #GDPR §20 when I raised it).
