I am making another attempt at #52Ancestors. I was not successful at all last year.
This is my post for week 1, Family Lore. Martin Kelly was far more successful than his great granddaughters knew. #Genealogy #Geneadons http://www.researchjournal.yourislandroutes.com/2024/01/52-ancestors-martin-kellys-will/

I regularly come across things I've never seen before in #genealogy. William James Streader came to America, settling in Schenectady, NY in CA 1918.
He became a citizen in 1926. Then for unknown reasons he and his wife returned to England where they are recorded in the 1939 Register.
This is a portion of a letter in his naturalization file. I wonder why the letter was generated. Was he trying to come back to the US and was flagged? He did eventually return to NY. #Geneadons

I have followed one branch to the USA. Now I have a whole line who went to Australia.
One of the descendants, David William Streader, ended up the Mayor of Bendigo, Australia in the 1940s.
I love how my tree branches out all over.

This is the last one I will post for tonight. The prompt was "family tree painted like 1930 mural". I wanted to use "in the style of" a famous painter, but each time I tried I got blocked and a warning for harassment.
These are hilarious because it literally put the people in trees. It's a tree growing families LOL
Have you been playing with AI image creators too?
I need to play more to get the hang of making prompts.
#genealogy #geneadons
This is another attempt using Bing's AI Creator. 1st prompt "genealogist working on family tree". I got a kick out of the literal interpretation of tree.
2nd prompt was "modern genealogist working on family tree". Note now everyone is younger and there are no trees in sight.
Someone else had done a similar prompt with a different image creator and each time they got men. So, it's interesting that Bing generated women.
