I don’t think European hysteria around a danger to host government data in US public clouds (AWS, GCP, Azure, name it) actually has a place, but I do think that moving in the direction of development of similar home solutions will bring a reasonable amount of competition and balance into the cloud computing world. The benefits are simple: the absence of the possibility of emerging a new IT-monster that will bring its influence into the political altitude from the IT without necessary expertise.

Yesterday, I got my Rivian R1T from the service. It was the second service appointment related to the issues with it, and I hope this is the last one.

Among other problems, I had the one described in this Reddit thread. I can confirm that after replacing the front hydraulic dumpers and jounce lines, all chirping and squeaking are gone.

I had replaced the rear hydraulic dumpers too because of a rattling sound from the back of the car.

Now, my R1T is completely silent.
