The night fell heavily today. It felt there was no lead up, no sunset.one moment it was light and the next I was searching for the light switch. Digby, my cat, walked figure eights aournd my ankles. Even he was eager for dinner.
Like most nights, I wasn’t hungry. I fed a small. Tin of food to Digby, washed my face and hands from the garden soil that clung to me, then mate toast to go with the soup I made the day before. I love the simple meals the best.
I sat in the rocking chair and, well, counted my blessings for thr day. I actually walked without aids, I planted my herb patch, ran like an idiot playing with the alpacas and laughed. That was the most important thing… I LAUGHED.

I am partial to having #sauerkraut every once in a while. When @Alpha1Nine did a wonderful thing and bought me sauerkraut with #beetroot (at a very high price) I was over the moon. While I was sorting things out, I accidentally tipped the jar over and I did not notice it was leaking for a while.
I cleaned up the surrounds, myself and the jar and I discovered the lid was not concave but quite ‘round’ on the top.
While it had a safety seal on it, it had not been heat sealed, vacuumed closed.
While Alpha had promptly received a refund from where he bought it, the company still has not replied to what I thought, was vital information. The lid swollen and now missing half the juice from the Jar, I am reluctant to eat it. Poor form from an Australian company. I doubt I will be purchasing any of their other products. #buyAustralian #foodsafety #KehoesKitchen

Porridge, stewed pears, toast and Jam is on the left. Orange juice and a cup of tea.

The porridge was lumpy, but I’ve had worse.

You were right. The number 1 #hospital #survival #tool is ear plugs.

If it isn’t nurses waking you up all through the night for tests or medication, it’s the other patients either snoring, crying, screaming, watching TV at a deafening volume or talking loudly at their phones with the speaker turned on.

It’s just a pity I forgot to bring them. Oops.

Ok, so here goes… I like to keep to myself but am forced to socialise at work, whilst travelling to and from work.

I have only just come back to #knitting and #crochet and #spinning.

I love to keep my eye on #politics hence #auspol and I love lazy days rugged up in bed with #wool and #homecrafted #crochethooks and a good book or my beloved #ukuleles.
