Currently, if you want to change the character count on your instance, you must be the admin and you must have behind-the-scenes access.

Scheduled posts are possible... as long as you're using an app that has it built in. The official Mastodon apps and the web user interfaces don't have it built in.

If you'd like to be able to schedule posts without downloading a whole new app etc, click through to the Github issue and add your 👍 (to the lower left of the top post).

At the moment, when you follow a hashtag, posts using that hashtag appear in your Home timeline without indicating why - so it looks like you're getting random posts from people you don't follow!

This feature request asks that followed hashtag posts be indicated, as in the attached mock-up.

This feature request is over 5 years old! If the web UI was only really intended for use in a browser on a computer screen this might not be such a big deal, but the web UI is also designed to be used on mobile phones as a PWA, and you can take a photo in the web UI and post it on your phone, so I think this would be really useful.

When someone boosts a lot, it can be hard work to mentally filter out all the boosts on their profile and pay attention to only their original posts.

The "posts and replies" tab on profiles could contain only the person's posts and replies, without boosts.

Currently, when adding a featured hashtag to your profile, if you use camelcase (e.g. MastodonCats) it gets lowercased (e.g. mastodoncats), which isn't great for #accessibility / #a11y.

Kind of a long one, but basically: when you report a post on Mastodon, it effectively disappears into the ether and you have no record of your report, no way to see what the mods decided, etc.

This feature request asks for a Reports page somewhere out of the way with a record of your reports and what the mods decided to do about it.

If someone has pinned a list, they should be able to hide posts that appear in that list from appearing in the Home timeline as well.

This would serve a similar/parallel function to the "remote only" filter in the federated timeline - allowing users to not have to look at the same toot twice.
