Under the hood, we discovered the neighborhood squirrels had been busy eating the sound deadener and having a little feast on top of the engine. Fortunately, no chewed wires or pipes. 😮‍💨

Siôn Hudson has just released the most glorious 🎥 review of a 1979 Citroën Visa Mk I, with its “pig nose”, air-cooled 2 cylinder boxer engine, with some form of electronic ignition (forget what he calls it)… on a budget car in 1979 folks! 😮

The interior controls are beyond anything else in all of their extreme quirkiness and #WeirdCar glory.

It was originally a royal hunting lodge at that time. A massive fireplace still exists in the lower room, intended to roast entire animals from the hunt on a spit over the fire.

Another tower (not visible) houses a narrow spiral stairwell with steps made of pink marble sourced from local quarries ‘marbre rose de Bourgogne”.

It’s a “memory” from iOS Photos which made me feel privileged to own something like this — including the visible fields opposite, some of which are classified as potential vineyards officially.

You can see the new custom made double-glazed windows on the bottom windows. The top ones have also been replaced at a later date.

That naughty new Canadian CEO decided not to upgrade them with new seats and technology such as WiFi, so they were retired instead, even before COVID. 😢

Some claimed they were too big and too uneconomical, but from LAX they were always fully booked with not a single seat to spare. So much so that it was always tough to get a bargain fare. 🤷‍♂️
