In #OOD we used to call everything a Manager or a Factory when the role was not clear. In the #cloudnative world we call everything an #api .
That feeling you get when 25 years into your career you finally have a really good reason to use a #UML diagram and you remember what your teacher said so long ago: only describe what you know and make it readable by another human.

A small change is needed to make the default color for external systems have great #accessibility . I am no expert but I have a color blind colleague that's made me aware. Default colors can be changed but lots of folks are lazy or unaware.
... and since one of the stated purposes of c4 models is to bridge across communication barriers in software engineering then I feel this attention to default colors would help further the mission!

At #dairyqueen today and had a peanut #busterbar for the first time in probably 40 years. It was a cross of childhood nostalgia and new hipster salted sweet ice-cream all in one. It's surprising how Dairy Queen survives to this day without a rebranding or barely anything changed on the menu. I think the latest innovation was the Blizzard which was introduced in 1985.

It's kind of weird how many things have changed and yet some key and sometimes insignificant things stand out as almost unchanged. Then there's that sense of betrayal if some important landmarks have changed. I can't figure out if it's me getting old, not being part of the changes happening, or just the disconnect of being away so long that Disney-fy my requirements of this place..

I only took it because my boss assured me that my hands-on profile was really what he wanted and not some spec-pushing diagram-generating meeting troll.
He has delivered on that.
I am not sure though that the rest of the company will respect and/or deliver on that hiring condition.
My biggest fear is that I will get out of touch with tech.
How do I get everything out of this opportunity yet not get rusty. Am I just too worried... I usually am
