So I've been #blogging on and off for over a decade both on personal sites and then actual blog sites like Livejournal etc. I've recently built myself a personal hub website? IDK what to call it and included a #blog in it. So I did my first blog post.

I wanted to make all the posts relevant to who I am and not just general updates on my life. To have some purpose - focus on my #autism, #adhd, #activism and other things especially as its a more profesisonal website. Anyway, my first post is about what it is like to be #ActuallyAutistic for me personally but in a great level of irony I ended up doing an incredibly autistic thing and providing to much information about the history of autism....

Sorry for not being around everyone for awhile! For those who don't know I've been very involved in the #VictorianElection having not only been the campaign manager for an electorate but did 95% of the campaign myself. It was essentially a second full time job.

I am back though.

I have this week off work and I'm going to try and take some time for #SelfCare including actually #reading and catching up on #TVShows especially as much of #StarWars #TheCloneWars tv show as possible.

I'm going to hopefully launch my #blog but if people want to provide #feedback its over at http://www.acetaylor.id.au It's basically a resume/personal site/base for me.

I slept most of yesterday and this morning and I'm still super tired but also um lets not talk about my #AntiDepressant situation okay? Also ugh this side toot thing doesn't have an option for emojis? This makes me sad!

Aphantasia (/ˌeɪfænˈteɪʒə/ ay-fan-TAY-zhə, /ˌæfænˈteɪʒə/ a-fan-TAY-zhə) is the inability to voluntarily create mental images in one's mind. The phenomenon was first described by Francis Galton in 1880 but has since remained relatively unstudied.

It’s not just the visual system that’s impacted. Some aphantasics cannot hear sounds, imagine smells, tastes, movement or touch using their imagination.

Current estimates are that ~26% of aphantasics experience multisensory aphantasia, or what is sometimes referred to as “total aphantasia“. - I think I fall into this category but I haven't explored it yet.
