the more I use Mastodon, the more its becoming my favorite social network. I'll leave it for the experts to debate whether the model is really sustainable and scalable, but right now, it feels like a tightknit subreddit, where if you don't already know everyone, they're only one friend-of-a-friend away; you actually know the mods and can reach out to them for help; and everyone feels like they're more or less 'on the same side'. You can actually have engaging conversations, thought leaders are accessible, and every day I meet someone new that's worth engaging with. Its refreshing to get engagement on my post, and not just have it be shitposting trolls and bad faith liars *cough* twitter *cough* #twittermigration
