My process-nerd magic wish is that more lawyers understood Little's Law, which says that cycle time (e.g. how long it takes to process an average matter in a law firm's workflow) is inversely proportional to the total number of matters that are active in that workflow.

In other words, every new matter you add to your workflow makes all of the other matters take longer to complete.
