In 2024, I took the Tranzalpine from Greymouth to Chch 3 times & the Coastal Pacific between Blenheim and chch once. That's 988 km...

In 2024, I took the Tranzalpine from Greymouth to Chch 3 times & the Coastal Pacific between Blenheim and chch once. That's 988 km travelled on South Island trains!

(Plus, add a railcar return excursion between Chch and Waikari, 150 km)

Not bad, but I think I can beat that in 2025 🚞
