I would have never picked back up writing after years away, thinking it was just something I did as a kid.

I would have never found the folks I still consider some of the closest people in my life, even when we don't talk for ages.

I had to walk away from the things she said and did. Those things that hurt me and mine that I couldn't forgive or forget.
