He is setting out to destroy the US as a political force (and likely as a political entity entirely, breaking down to states). In this DJT and his cabinet and Musk get to destroy the Federal government and enrich themselves.
Any conflict (trade war) between the EU and US benefits primarily Putin (and China).

@ColmDonoghue Trams have had more success in getting people to ditch cars, which is essential for livable cities. From outside the city, buses will dominate, except for those on the railway line(s). The best model (see Switzerland for example) is a rail backbone with buses connecting.
For Connemara, bus services on N59, R336 with local link connecting buses on side roads. Main buses then meet at Railway station, cross to Ballybrit, Parkmore etc. Gluas gets to the schools, etc. inside the city.

He now wants to go further, by exploring provisions that would allow for sample inspections of flight manifests (record of what’s being carried) on overflights and then sanctioning airlines that are found to have breached the requirement to look for an exemption.

“I will look to bring a memo to the Government to give us the capability to search, sample and sanction flights that might be carrying munitions of war,” Minister Ryan said.

Prior to recent media reports about flights passing through Irish airspace, and in response to a Private Members’ motion in the Seanad last July, the Minister has indicated already that he wants to allow for random searches of planes that land in Ireland that may be carrying munitions.
