I am someone who is always playing about with different languages and I always run in to the same problem of never knowing what to do after learning little bits. Apart from having built a python slack bot which uses various api calls.

This weekend I spun up my own instance of #mastodon to play about with it and see how it was to setup. I followed the guide by @Raspberry_Pi@raspberrypi.social and did the setup on a hosted raspberry pi at @beasts

The process was relatively painless, but I have written a short blog post about one issue I ran into with certbot.

Hopefully it will help anyone else who runs in to the same error and isn't sure what is happening
