As more of us get the hang of this community — and we find interesting people to follow from across the fediverse — we should totally do the whole #FollowFriday thing here too. That was super useful on the bird site many, many years ago, and we shouldn't throw the baby out with the bath water.

Hello Aus.Social! I'm not quite an internet "old timer", but I have been on social media since the mid 90s - back in the Usenet and dial-up days.

I'm currently on Bunurong land (in Melbourne's west) but will be moving to Woiworong land (in Melbourne's north) in few weeks.

I work in the digital/social media space.

Not sure how much I'll end up posting here (I'm not super active on social media) but you will definitely end up seeing photos of my dog :)

OMG! I had no idea Aus.Social existed. I've been on Mastodon.Social and Mastodon.Technology since 2018 but I never got around to looking at/for other servers. I guess something good did come out of Musk buying Twitter :)
