Woof. I was really looking forward to watching Metallica in immersive video on the Vision Pro, but they ruined it with *extremely* uncomfortable close-ups of ravenous fans looking right at you, yelling, and reaching towards you.

I'm talking “feels like they're touching me" levels of uncomfortably close, and you're not in control of the camera position either, so there's no escape beyond closing your eyes and hoping it's over when you open them again.

Both times felt like clear violations of both personal space and unwanted attention. I was willing to forgive the first occurrence, even though I had to close my eyes for a moment to get past it, but the second time it happened I had to rip the headset off. I can't trust an experience willing to repeatedly put me in that position.

Gross. 🤢

Apropos of nothing, I switched from Firefox to Safari a month or so ago, and I have few regrets.

My biggest complaint is that I no longer have a method to “send tabs” from my phone to my desktop/laptop except airdrop, which of course doesn’t work if the target device isn’t already turned on, unlocked, and on the same local network, and that’s only true like, maybe 1% of the time I actually want to do that. Bookmarks or “read later” services are not a sufficient solution, because without a tab appearing in front of me on that device, ADHD means i will never think about it ever again, not to mention the hassle of “cleaning up” those items later.

This feels like a problem Apple could/should have solved years ago 🙃
