Hi there, I'm currently a visiting research scholar at the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley with an interdisciplinary focus on the religious, philosophical and artistic dimensions of birth. I've written a book and numerous other publications on this topic. In addition to my academic work, I write for popular and local audiences and also work on Chinese art and religions, the specialization of my PhD dissertation (UCSB). I'm a Past President of the AAR Western Region.
