So I would only be able make money off commissions, which in turn would increase workload, reduce quality, and the art's message would be moved to the payer (aka rich people). The combination of pulling back on copyright and funding AI essentially is a way to funnel both money & political perspectives away from the diversity of artists and towards a few central capitalists who own the AI model.

There are some things non-artists dont understand about copyright. Most of their interactions with copyright is from a consumer perspective....

There are some things non-artists dont understand about copyright. Most of their interactions with copyright is from a consumer perspective. Or rebelling against record labels. Who doesn't want free stuff? But plenty of small artists depend on it.

For example, I make comics and sell them. If there weren't any copyright, someone would be able to take it and sell it somewhere else for cheap. Or release it for free. And then I wouldn't see any of that money.

I know most authorities' attentions are on large distributors like PornHub/OnlyFans, but do they ever care about smaller domains? It seems particularly annoying that every place has a different set of laws. In particular, US states now all have different laws with variations of restrictions.

When I was much younger, I did some voice acting and friends/family would ask me "Do a voice for me." And as an artist sometimes people ask me "Can you draw a picture of me?" But I've also worked in biotech and nobody asks me to run ELISA assays for them.
