After resting in White Mountain for more than 7 hours, Jennie Roddewig determined that her dogs were not enthusiastic about running to Nome, so she scratched.

The Red Lantern was Ebbe Pederson, and Iditerod 2025 is over.

After this one, I don't know that I'll be following this race again. The officials' treatment of rookie mushers seemed mean and capricious. Maybe the thing is to support other races and let Iditarod go.

There are only three more teams left on the Iditarod trail this year, all rookies: Dane Baker and Ebbe Pederson both 22 miles out, and Jennie Roddewig in White Mountain, 71 miles to go. This is them, resting for their run into Nome, probably sometime tonight.
