They destroyed the early Willamette P4s while comparatively sipping power and ran much cooler than the Thunderbird Athlons of the era. I fondly remember *finally* locating an affordable pair after many months of searching/saving up for them. Still my favourite rig so far, I think.

Dual PIII-S 1.4Ghz (@ 1522Mhz), 2GB PC133 and a whopping 200GB of spinning rust in RAID1! Still running Lenny from when it last saw regular use ~2012. It felt like such a beast back then but time has not been kind; leaking caps and myriad hardware failures have sadly left it dead. 💀 Kept the CPUs as a memento and hoping I can manage to image the disks for preservation before destruction.
