This comes up with Tailwind all the time where I define a custom class after Tailwind's that does something like apply a background color. I can't then add .bg-blue-500 to that element in HTML to override the default background color, as it does nothing.

Custom emotes are an absolutely critical feature for Matrix/Element, with the original issue sitting for 7+ years. I cannot sell adoption away from Slack and Discord without them, and sole contributor now is (understandably) too frustrated to proceed >_<

Kudos to WotC for running a pretty extensive Arena survey and actually asking about things like Modern, Pioneer, deck sharing, and spectator mode. I have basically no faith these will be added ever but it's a sign of life!

What it needs to get me back: 1. actual daily deals, 2. much lower cost to craft cards/brew, 3. more all-access events, 4. spectator mode, 5. separation of Historic and Alchemy, 6. add Pioneer and release anthologies way faster, and 7. actual community things like giveaways

Pretty much agree with Mastodon's official stance on Threads, and I'm a long time fediverse supporter self hosting Mastodon, Pixelfed, and Lemmy.

I absolutely understand the complaints but ActivityPub is much different from XMPP in a few ways and assuming federation is real, Threads both legitimizes federated services and lowers the bar for heavy users to go with a Mastodon instance instead. Very curious how they do it though.
