We can’t borrow because the markets won’t like it. We can’t ‘print money’ because it will cause inflation. This constant car focus is getting absurd.

I am aware that there are many areas of the country where people have little option, but surely the £3 billion a year on the 5p cut alone would go quite some way towards some extra buses… (not to mention had fuel duty increased with inflation since 2011…) #budget #ukpol

Thankfully, it does contrast with the vast majority of people I meet, on a day-to-day basis, who are kind and loving and want the best for those around them.

My hope is that the next government can, at the very least, moderate their language and slow this decline in our public life.
