Content warning:Housing policy. Equity.
Am I the only one who thinks it's blindingly obvious that we need far more social and affordable housing?
Having a social housing quota for all new developments is also sorely needed.
I will support whichever political party or candidate promotes these policies.

I say get rid of them. My taxes can be used for so many good purposes.

"The best way to address labor exploitation is to empower workers." - A quote from an excellent (long) article in the New York Times. Written with a U.S. focus but relevant for Australia, it argues that fairer wage rates and more access to affordable housing are important tools to fight entrenched poverty. I agree.

This is something I think deserves more publicity: "There are more people sleeping rough every night in this country than there are people impacted by Labor’s super plan,” the Greens senator Janet Rice.
I think the Green's plan for reducing tax concessions for high value super accounts makes very good sense, although I think the funds raised would be best spent on raising welfare payments.

We must maintain and improve not only an accessible and equitable universal health care system, but also paid sick leave, investments in community health worker programs and essential housing and social welfare systems.
If not, we may end up with a health care system as bad as the one in the United States. Let's not let that happen.
