I decided to split my accounts. This account is going to focus on appsec & professional stuff, while my personal stuff (art, scifi, photography, etc.) is moving to @andytinkham@wandering.shop. I picked up -The Left Hand of Dog- by @clacksee in the current StoryBundle HopePunk bundle and started reading it (and its prequel story, -Stardust Wake- which was free) last night. What a fun read. I am loving it & already got the rest of her books! I love how the AI has a figurative mode which allows so many references to just be made. Looking forward to seeing where this whole series (and the others!) go. You should definitely check these out!

I've put off doing an #introduction but now it's time. I'm Andy. I live in the suburbs around Minneapolis with my wife and our cat.
Professionally, I spent a lot of years in #QA and have now changed over to #appsec. I'm the security architect for CyberArk's Conjur product, doing dependency management, threat modeling, and working with my engineering teams to build a secure product.
Outside of work, I read a lot across the spectrum of #speculativefiction. I enjoy making #cocktails at home and have recently embarked on deepening my understanding of gin and how it can vary. I'm a huge fan of Japanese-style logic #puzzles and have gotten on the Wordle/Spelling Bee fan train recently too. For nearly a decade,, my wife and I ran an #art studio/gallery which included her fiber art, my landscape photography and the work of a number of other artists. That's been shut down now, but you can still see my photos at https://geekymonkey.photos. I'll probably be setting up a pixelfed account and posting some of my photos there sometime this winter..
