Fellow writers, while revising my first novel, I realized interactions and dialogues are noticeably short. To be fair, this novel has a tight plot and fast pace, so scenes can't be too long either. However, I seem to have this tendency in general. There's a big difference between what I read in other people's work and what I write. A carefully and subtly told story with a performance by Blanchett that is easily one of her best performance of her career. What appears intellectual and pretentious at first glance, reveals something much more tangible behind its façade.

One of my favorite movies growing up and the one that showed me movies can be more than entertainment. I hadn't seen it in over a decade. Happy to report it still holds up. Although narratively it could be more gripping, the atmosphere, acting and fight scenes make up for it.

Every time I see a highlighted part by a beta reader in my manuscript, I think okay let's see what I did wrong and can do better, but then it's just "nice" or "cool" and I become giddy like a schoolboy. 😂 I'm very open to criticism but it's just a great feeling to get a compliment on your writing, especially when it's a person whose opinion is important to you. #WritingCommmunity #revising #editing
