I've endured random episodes of anxiety/panic attacks for the past 24 years. Coming once a decade or so and lasting intermittently for weeks/months. Doctors believe it's mental but considering the random times it appears, I believe it's physical. The 3 times it's happened I was prescribed "lorazepam" which did nothing. This time I started taking OTC Valerian Root and my anxiety is muted/nearly gone immediately.

Whether Psychosomatic or not, it's working for me.
