In our latest blog post, we:
• Break down how AMQP 1.0 flow control works.
• Show how RabbitMQ 4.0 utilises AMQP 1.0 flow control.
• Highlight ten advantages of AMQP 1.0 over AMQP 0.9.1.
• Present two benchmarks demonstrating scenarios where AMQP 1.0 greatly outperforms AMQP 0.9.1, thanks to flow control.

Are these #AMQP extensions listed somewhere or have they never been defined?

I really like how thoughtful most #MQTT 5.0 protocol functionalities were added via Properties.
Once you have an MQTT 3.1.1 parser / serialiser, it is relatively straightforward to extend it to parse / serialise 5.0 packets.
Also ~90 - 95% of the code base can just be shared between the different MQTT versions.
