Better than the first, still clumsy dialogue at times but world-building is still cool and a lot of effort clearly went into developing this world's culture. And it's probably the most visually beautiful thing I've seen on a screen, worth watching in 3D if possible. 4/5

It's been interesting to see the evolution in opinions on that one. Feels like when it first came out, many FF fans derided it and hated Lightning, but opinions seem to have trended more positive in recent years.
