I initially came over to Mastodon from #BirdSite because I felt that #Elon would usher in a right-wing hellscape. Seems that I was correct there. But now that he’s (ostensibly) leaving his position as CEO, will I go back?

Absolutely not.

Even if he sold #BirdSite and had no influence on it whatsoever (which is not the case if he just steps down as CEO) I would not return. #Mastodon is (IMO) in most ways a superior platform, and I hope people are here to stay. I’ll be here.
