I agree with Mohamad Quddus that the answer it's simple, it's (mostly) useless. There is no (cheaply feasible) way to do so if collecting data from a fixed site-based sensor (with communication delays to the user). Vehicles with some assisting technology and automation can and are doing this of course. #trbam

The small urban footprint has preserved nature (even if there are massive civil structures everywhere, bridges, roads, dams, etc), which is easy to access walking around, 10-20 min walk from a city train station.

Yet, cities are generally dense, with not too big houses, diverse buildings and things to reach within short distances that make it a joy to explore by foot.
