I'm a flexible plotter. I usually create an outline before writing, and I allow myself to amend it as I go.

Recently I created a fanfic for fun, and I pantsed the whole thing. I observed the characters in my mind and wrote what I saw. It was an otherworldly experience writing as things unfolded in my mind's eye, and I didn't run into any issues. I'm intrigued and want to try it again.

Lately I've realized that when my mind is cluttered, I need space. And when trying to create space on the inside doesn’t work–when journaling and brain dumping still leaves me frazzled, that means it’s time to switch from trying to create space in the inner world.

It’s time to create space in the outer world as well.

Sailor Moon and the magical girl genre in general has influenced my work especially the themes of coming of age, finding yourself, finding your strengths, and the power of love.

Sailor moon has influenced my fiction and...nonfiction 😅

Mangas with ikemen, bishounen, and questionable/alluring/evil glasses guys have also permanently influenced my work.

Very.

I only have 120 subscribers, but they are so supportive of my work! My books are kind of invisible until I tell my email list about it.

I'm a blogger, so each month I send one email with links to 2 blog posts, a CTA for a related book I've written I think they might enjoy, along with some personal reflections.

I pivoted to creating non-fiction while I was blocked, and thought I may never have story ideas that would inspire me ever again!
