I finally got it all working, so crisis averted, but man did it DEFINITELY get me thinking about contingencies and wondering what exactly I'm gonna do if any of my hardware does die during this trade war bullshit. :C

While there's probably a few things the owner could have done differently, it still seems safe to say that the tariffs were probably the elephant in the room, and primarily to blame on this one.

Still sucks massive ass though, and I'm sure this is only the first of many.

Awful offline events notwithstanding, this week has at least been fantastic for 3d printers in the tabletop crowd. Opening of the Warmachine mmf tribe, monsterpocalypse releasing on mmf, and The Red Brigade (Trench Crusade sculpts) finally being fulfilled were some especially juicy highlights~

Not a moment too soon either, since the tariffs are going to ensure we can’t afford anything for the foreseeable future. 8D

Been fighting with a weird bug / issue in Bazzite, and (knocking on wood) I think I may have finally figured out what triggers it?

For the months now, I would have an issue (at least daily) where my center monitor stops updating the picture. If I don't resolve the issue (typically by ctrl+alting to a diff session and then back) quickly enough, eventually the remaining screens would stop updating, and the entire system would hang.

This problem seemed to get worse when I tried using Floorp for my browser, so on a whim I've tried going back to a diff browser as my daily driver - and specifically using Vivaldi (Chromium based) for my always-running-twitch-stream.

And so far, the issue hasn't resurfaced...? Again, knocking on wood?

Like I'll be truly happy if that issue is resolved with this, but am going to be very irate if there's just some weird intersection of firefox fork / nvidia drivers / video streaming / bazzite that I discovered, causing this hang. :/

Thankfully it isn’t hard to find some fantastic STLs on MMF, so I can easily paint some for very little buy in. <3
