I've started to try and learn how to use #NixOS by using Flakes and...dear god. I get that it's supposed to help ensure reproducibility akin to other dev package managers like Python's Poetry, but there's so much undefined crap going on in the "output" for Flakes that seemingly can't be found anywhere.

Like, what's nixosConfigurations? Or nixosModules? Where the hell are these defined? How does anyone know any of this? It's like having to know how to put a gas engine together in order to start a car.
